Marino wins IRONMAN Austria in Klagenfurt for the 8th time

It was a historic day in Klagenfurt – the 8th victory at his “living room” made the legend even more to a legend: Marino won the IRONMAN Austria now for the 8th time.
He was in front of the race from the beginning on. Since the Wörthersee was too warm, it was a non-wetsuit swim for all pro athletes and Marino exited the water in a group of eight athletes. On the bike he was in front with two athletes, young Austrian Paul Reithmayer and Antony Costes when he made the deciding move at around 150kilometers on the bike.

Leading to the T2 he even increased his advantage on the run to around eight minutes to finally win the race and celebrate on the finish line with all spectators. Well done!
