Trainingscamp Livigno – Stefan Schmid

XC-skiing! For me the best way to get fit in winter.
Nordic skiing is not only good for your fitness, it also helps to improve your bike and run performance. The skating technique is very good for your cycling because it works on the muscles you need on the bike. The classical technique is beneficial for your running.

Unfortunately there was no more snow at home at the end of February.
As I wanted to work a few more weeks in the snow I decided to go to Livigno (Italy / elevation 1.820m).
I will be here for 4 weeks. Ideally the combination of XC-skiing and altitude are going to help me to get race ready.
Directly after my altitude camp I will travel to Mallorca where I will race Triathlon Portocolom (1-100-10).

This is a test for me to see if I can perform directly out of altitude.
If it works, it should give me the option to prepare my July-Ironman in altitude.
